Electricity - Utility AssistElectricity

Regardless of the size of your electricity supplies, whether single or multi sited, monthly or quarterly metered, businesses can generally make savings by tendering their contracts. However, you could spend weeks collecting information from the many suppliers on their tariffs and then even more time comparing their prices.

We can do all of this work for you and we have the experience to avoid any pitfalls. Have you compared like with like? What frequently looks like a good offer can have hidden elements which, when taken into account, completely changes the picture.

At the time an electricity supply is installed in a building, the capacity of the supply must be fixed. While it is possible to calculate the likely requirements, they are usually based on a number of assumptions and can prove to be inaccurate over time. In cases where the capacity being paid for exceeds the required capacity, we can work with you to agree a new figure with your Distribution Company, thus resulting in a reduction in the charges you are required to pay. Recently, we helped one client save over £54000 per year by doing this.

Prices are constantly changing and therefore it is generally beneficial to test the market on every occasion that a contract is coming to an end, to ensure the most favourable renewal contract available is selected.

We will undertake the whole procurement process on your behalf, including complying with the European Union procurement legislation where required. Our fees will be recovered from the successful supplier in the form of a commission.

Our standard service for this includes the following:

  • Collate all site information to enable the tender process to proceed.
  • Prepare tender documents and pricing schedules.
  • Analyse all the offers received and produce a summary report to assist the client’s decision.
  • Liaise with the successful supplier through the contract completion and registration process and resolve any site objections that are received.
  • Administer all billing and contractual issues for the duration of the contract and assist with the resolution of any issues.
  • Management of the contract renewal process.
