Going Green? - Utility AssistGoing Green?

Green or Renewable Energy

We are totally independent of any supplier and we will search through our extensive list of suppliers to find the right green solution for your business. We can ensure you that, whatever your consumption is your chosen supplier will replace what your business uses with electricity provided from a renewable source. In the UK we have the opportunity to obtain renewable energy from many sources, including the sun (solar energy), water (hydropower), wind (wind farms), sea (tidal) and many other sources including the burning of household waste.

Although renewable energy technologies are sometimes criticised for being unreliable or unsightly, the market is growing for many forms of renewable energy and many business are using this reduced carbon energy to support their environmental credentials and attract new business.

Do you think it might be time to look at Green Energy? There are sound business reasons for doing so.  The environmental and sustainability agenda is changing daily and organisations large and small, in all sectors, need to be constantly aware of the changing impact of that agenda on their business, customers, suppliers, employees and all their wider stakeholders.

Some time ago, CCL (Climate Control Levy) appeared on your energy invoice following Government Legislation. This, in effect, added just under 10% to you bill.  Green Electricity tariffs normally carry a small price premium but CCL is normally reduced, if not completely removed, with a green tariff. So, with the cost of generating renewable energy falling all the time and if you offset the CCL saving and the VAT, yes, you pay VAT on CCL, the price you actually pay could be very close to a normal ‘brown’ tariff.  Plus your business will gain in many other areas:

By using green renewable energy sources you will be able to:

  • Reduce your business carbon footprint
  • Demonstrate to your environment-conscious customers that you really care for the environment
  • Cut the UK’s C02 emissions and help reduce the climate change
  • Reduce customer drift as they look elsewhere for a more socially responsible supplier

We can work with you to ensure that you will receive the best-possible personal service and the most competitive green energy prices.
